Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel, Tilson Technology Management

Ande Smith is Tilson Technology Management's Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel. In his role as COO, Ande is responsible for Tilson's business operations and those of its affiliated companies, with emphasis on sustainable business processes, culture, and operating efficiency. As General Counsel, he provides legal expertise to Tilson across a range of needs.

Ande possesses diverse leadership experience, from serving as a Submarine Officer in the US Navy, to serving as the Director of Information Security for the US division of a multi-national corporation, during which time he led a team of 16 people, with programmatic responsibility for more than 100,000 associates, 1,600 retail locations, and three data centers. Ande has practiced law for more than a decade, with experience both in private practice and as in-house counsel. Having attained the rank of Captain in the US Navy, he serves as the Navy Emergency Preparedness Liaison Officer to the State of Maine in the reserve component.
