David Wainberg

Senior Market Standards Lead, AppNexus

David designs policies to ensure the safety and quality of the AppNexus platform. He draws on his background in both law and computer science to translate law and policy into company practice and technical implementation, for issues such as privacy, malvertising, fraud, and intellectual property.

Prior to joining AppNexus, David was Counsel for Policy & Technology for the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI), a leading online advertising industry association. He worked on policy-driven technology projects with member companies, including Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, and AOL. He joined the NAI as the association's first Compliance Counsel, and conducted or supervised in-depth compliance reviews of member companies.

David holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Maine School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maine.
